Old Sea Guard Statio

in a unique natural area – on Mount Pookinmäki

Authentic Coast Guard Station

The Kotka Coast Guard Station operated on Pookinmäki Hill for 70 years before moving to new premises.

Today, anyone has the rare opportunity to spend a few nights in this unique building. Guests can use the shared kitchen and lounge — the same spaces where coast guards once worked, trained, dined, and lived their everyday lives.

From the upper floors, you can enjoy magnificent sea views, watching small and large ships, sailboats, and other vessels pass by daily. With binoculars, you can take a closer look at nearby islands and passing ships — or greet the stunning sunrise with a warm cup of coffee in hand.

Guest amenities include free parking, a fully equipped shared kitchen, a dining area for about 20 people, and a comfortable lounge.

The Coast Guard Station also features a sauna for larger groups and a barbecue area in the yard.

Old Sea Guard Station

can help you relax in peace and forget your daily problems. Silence, peace, fresh air, the beauty of native nature and the opportunity to visit Kotka are waiting for you.

Old Sea Guard Station is an excellent choice for a weekend trip!

Just a few days in paradise will reduce tension, re-energize you, and inspire you to live a more active and exciting life.
